French golf holidays are extremely popular, particularly with travellers from the UK. L'Etang is Saint-Malo's championship course, and is a lovely par-72 layout devised by Hubert Chesnau. Carved from the famously beautiful Breton countryside, the 6,492 yard course has an American feel, and has benefited greatly from significant work to improve both design and condition.
